| Research Group Overview: | My laboratory’s research focus centres on the development of affordable and accessible point-of-care (POC) diagnostic assays and technologies to address critical diagnostic challenges related to infectious and non-infectious diseases of national and global significance. Our mission is to design rapid, sensitive, and affordable diagnostic solutions that enhance early detection, improve patient outcomes, and empower healthcare systems, particularly in resource-limited settings. We also have interest in drug discovery to identify novel compounds or repurpose the existing molecules to tackle bacterial and viral infections including AMR. We are collaborating actively with clinicians, basic scientist, chemists, and industries to bridge the existing gap in the field of diagnostic devices and antibacterial drug discovery. |
